Vaud University of Education (HEP Vaud)

The canton of Vaud has been pursuing a very dynamic policy in terms of training and research for many years. This is the reason why many internationally renowned public and private institutions are located in Vaud.

The HEP Vaud, which belongs to the Swiss HEP network, is also developing strong cooperation links at the national and international level. Nearly 2,800 people are studying at HEP Vaud in 2019.

They are supported in their journey by more than 270 teachers, as well as 1,200 practitioners and trainers in 128 partner establishments. Students also receive support from 100 collaborators from academic, administrative and technical support units. In 2018, 1,013 titles in basic and postgraduate training were awarded. HEP Vaud also provides the equivalent of 13,868 days of continuing education and services, which represents more than 9,200 registrations from the world of education.

The University of Vaud Canton of Education pursues two major objectives with a concern for excellence: offer university-level training to future teachers as well as postgraduate training to teachers and all professionals in the educational world; stimulate the field of research and development in educational sciences, in particular within the framework of international research projects, and offer a set of educational resources to school professionals.
