In order to market their goods and brands, companies today have more choices than ever before.  A key component of running a successful company is a practical understanding of design, emerging trends, and how they impact organizational practices. Students will gain a general knowledge of design history and esthetics through this program while learning how best to apply them to business and product management practices.

Career

This program provides students with fundamental business and managerial skills as well as knowledge of design and its application in business. Upon successful completion of this degree, students may be interested in job positions such as the ones below:

  • An account manager in a design agency acts as the bridge between a client and an agency’s design team. Their tasks include discussing briefings with clients, setting fees, overseeing projects, and presenting project proposals, among others.
  • A design manager develops and manages design strategies and ensures that they are successfully implemented through project management.
  • A brand consultant has an in-depth understanding of business and an organization’s brand. Through analysis and marketing knowledge, these professionals develop and help marketing teams implement strategies and actions for higher brand impact and results.
  • A marketing manager in the luxury sector is responsible for creating and implementing marketing strategies and, as well as budgeting, monitoring sales evolution, and reporting.
